Champions take on La Madeleine and Joux-Plane
The Tour de France Femmes 2025 promises a spectacular finale as it crosses the Alps on its final two stages. The riders will take on iconic Route des Grandes Alpes ® passes, offering a terrain ripe for decisive attacks and twists and turns all the way to the finish line.

The queen stage: Chambéry - Col de la Madeleine (3490 D+)
On August 2, stage 8 will take the peloton from Chambéry to Saint-François-Longchamp, with a finish atop the formidable col de la Madeleine. Before the final climb of 18.6 km at 8.1%, runners will have to negotiate the Col de Plainpalais (13.2 km at 6.3%) and the Côte de Saint-Georges-d'Hurtières (4.8 km at 5.9%). This demanding route, culminating at an altitude of 2,000 metres, represents the high point of this edition and could well be the scene of upheavals in the overall classification.

Last act: Praz-sur-Arly - Châtel via the mythical cols (2880 m D+)
On August 3, the 9th and final stage will link Praz-sur-Arly to Châtel, in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. Over 124 km, runners will climb the Araches-la-Frasse climb (6.2 km at 7.1%), the famous col de Joux Plane (11,6 km at 8.5%) and the Col du Corbier (5.9 km at 8.5%), before a high-altitude finish at Châtel. This stage, with its 2,880 meters of positive vertical drop, offers ideal terrain for climbers looking to turn the race around in its final moments.
These two Alpine stages, following emblematic segments of the Route des Grandes Alpes, promise a thrilling and undecided finale, living up to the expectations of cycling enthusiasts.
