This imposing neo-Gothic building is reminiscent of King Ludwig II's Neuschwanstein castle.

Built by Louis Fortoul, a former trader in Mexico and founder of the ‘Las Fabricas de Francia’ shop in Guadalajara, the Château des Magnans was designed by the Ticino architect Bernardo Ramelli (Lugano).

Inside, the staircase bay features a stained glass window with alternating courtly and chivalric scenes by Louis Balmet.

The Château des Magnans has been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments since 1986 and has been awarded the ‘Patrimoine XXe siècle’ label.

The Château is now a tourist residence.
