When Route des Grandes Alpes® sets the Tour de France alight!
Saturday, July 5, the Tour de France 2025 sets off, and as always, it's going to seek its truth up there, in the Alps.
Where the tar melts, where the legs burn, where legend is written bend after bend. Once again this year, the route crosses giants: Glandon, Madeleine, Loze, Saisies, Col du Pré, Cormet de Roselend, montée de La Plagne... An anthology of passes to make a general capsize.
Fans know these names by heart. Because they belong to another great adventure: that of the Route des Grandes Alpes®, the mythical crossing between Thonon-les-Bains and Nice. And that's where the magic happens. Because the same roads, the same ramps, the same breathtaking landscapes welcome thousands of cyclists all year round to rub shoulders with the mountains. You don't need a yellow jersey to feel the beauty, the effort, the emotion. Just a bike, some breath, and a little heart.
There's something crazy, something beautiful, in this link between the Tour and the Route: an invisible fraternity between the greatest champions and the humblest itinerants.
