Following the debris flows of 20/06/2024, access to La Bérarde is strictly forbidden by prefectoral decree.

An inn located in the remarkable, unspoilt setting of the Haut-Vénéon and the village of La Bérarde, at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park.

Heir to the village's first chalet hotel, the inn is ideal for your stay in the high mountains, or as a base camp on your way to the summits of the Ecrins.

The Auberge de la Meije offers 22 rooms (singles, doubles and families) for overnight or longer-stay hotel service, for solo travelers, families, friends or groups. Designed around the original building and a contemporary wing, the inn combines the authenticity of stone, the warmth of wood and the luminosity of glass: spacious dining room, colorful terrace and solarium, intimate lounge and library, entertainment and conference room.

The bar and restaurant offer a menu based on local and organic produce. Menus and à la carte dishes are all home-cooked with seasonal (organic and local) produce.

We are also developing a dual project (educational and cultural) built around the mountain environment and its heritage.

As part of our quality approach, the establishment has been awarded the "Accueil Cyclo Oisans" label (specific facilities and services for cyclists) and the national ESPRIT PARC label.

Practical information:
- Rooms available from 3pm and vacated before 10am.
- Evening meal from 7pm.
- Breakfast: 7:30 to 9 a.m.; on your own before 7:30 a.m.
