Would you like to introduce yourself?
I'm Caroline Hiebel, triathlete and lover of itinerant journeys on foot or by bike... This great cycling trip I did as a team, we started as three cyclists, Lucie, Thierry and myself, then Christophe joined us in Briançon to cover the southern half-route.
Why embark on this cycling trip in the Alps?
I love the Alps and wanted to get to know the great Alpine passes by bike.
Which route did you take?
We covered the route des grandes Alpes from Thonon to Nice in 7 days: the classic North-South itinerary.
How did you organize yourself?
We had a follow car for luggage, and slept at the hotel. At noon, sandwiches bought on the course, and in the evening, quietly at restaurants in pleasant places.
One rule set: taste as many Alpine blueberry tarts as possible!
